Color Trends: Our Take on Elle Décor’s Fall Color Palette

Inspiration

Usually home decor colors don’t change quite as rapidly as those in fashion. After all, it’s a lot more complicated to change the color of an entire room than it is to change the color of your jacket. So while we don’t completely agree with Elle Decor’s premise that there’s a seasonal shift in home color, we do agree with the overall concept that there’s a move toward lighter colors at home. So if you’d like to make a fresh color choice, we picked out the five color trends that we think are sure to be winners long beyond this fall season. (If you’re curious, see the full lineup over at Elle Decor). See below for our color picks and the best ways to use them at home.

Greige. Can’t decide whether to chose between beige or gray tones for a neutral? Then, this color is for you. The color de jour on Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumbler, greige is the neutral taking the design world by storm. A tan hue, with hint of gray, greige strides the line of being not quite gray and not quite beige, it’s the perfect calming neutral for any space in the home. via Casafina
