Commune Design is an LA-based design collective that focuses on “enhancing life through design”. Their collaborative effort has resulted in some amazing projects (like the American Trade Hotel in Panama City). Founded in 2004, the firm’s aesthetic has been called “earnestly handcrafted, seriously high-end with a hint of hippie” by the Los Angeles Times. The online shop is filled with Commune collaborations and designer finds, the only rule Roman Alonso, a partner at Commune told The New York Times is “that everything has to be made by hand.” The online shop is filled with everything from lighting and furniture to doormats and cement tiles.
