A Country Modern Connecticut Estate

Before & After

The allure of Greenwich, Connecticut is obvious. An easy commute from New York’s hustle and bustle, the town is charming, rural and quaint. Our clients, a family whose parents work in Manhattan, were looking to transform a suburban colonial—surely in need of an update—into a comfortable, functional family home. A combination of rural and contemporary designs are accented with natural wood textures and concrete.

We started by remodeling the kitchen, excavating the space and adding a replacing a solid wall with windows. Quartz countertops, a duo of orb chandeliers and a glass dining table keep the space feeling light and airy. The space is both bright and functional, with a kitchen that both looks good and can serve as place for the master chefs. To incorporate some local elements, horse art was added to a reclaimed wood wall.
