Our 10 Favorite Met Gala Looks And Rooms To Match

Pink room sketch in london

If you were anywhere in Manhattan on Monday night and wondered why the air suddenly smelled of glamour, don’t worry—you weren’t hallucinating. It was just the Met Gala, arguably the biggest fashion event of the year, happening uptown. Technically a benefit for the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute, this bacchanalian to-do functions equally as an excuse for the world’s cultural elite to don extravagant outfits and sashay them fabulously down the red carpet.

With this year’s gala honoring the sartorial influence of China, 2015’s attire did not disappoint. From Rihanna’s thunder-stealing Guo Pei number to Grace Coddington’s brilliantly cheeky pajama ensemble, these are ten of our own favorite looks from the night—with some beautifully-decorated interiors to match.
