A Miami Beach Luxury Condo With Waterfront ViewsMiami, Florida
A vacation home should be as meticulous and considered as your primary residence. Our clients, a family living in London, had just purchased a pied-à-terre in Miami Beach, and felt that the space was a bit dreary for a waterfront condo. So they reached out to Décor Aid, and asked us to overhaul their home away from home.
When we arrived at the newly purchased condo, we realized that the entire space was woefully in need of a renovation. Drab fixtures and musty wall colors adorned the common area, while the kitchen featured peeling cabinets and antiquated appliances.
To start, we gutted the entire apartment, which gave us a blank canvas to create a chic, modern luxury condo.
In the kitchen, we framed stainless steel appliances with touch-latch cabinets, white quartz countertops and a chandelier from Tom Dixon. To counterbalance the apartment’s light-filled common space, we designed a moody and opulent master bathroom. With a posh chandelier, a sumptuous bathtub and taupe walls, the space has a somber and soothing atmosphere.
Situated on the thirtieth floor of a high-rise, the condo has postcard views of the Miami Harbor. So we carefully selected furniture pieces that wouldn’t obstruct the waterfront vista. To maintain clear sight-lines from the kitchen to the ocean, we sourced backless barstools, small chandeliers, a lucite bench from Clayton Grey, and a plush modular sofa from Interior Define.
To emphasize the condo’s waterfront location, we placed high-sheen turquoise area rugs in the master bedroom and living room. Desert sand furniture pieces, sheer white curtains and a custom-made wood media console complete the condo’s serene, relaxing vibe.
