An Upper West Side Apartment Featured in The Nestinterview
Decor Aid, a start-up interior design company, was approached about redesigning the living room in this Upper West Side family’s apartment.
The goal? To showcase the client’s artwork and give the space a more modern feel.
The room had to function as both a formal living room and as a media room for a family of four, so the space needed to be designed in a way that fit both.
They painted the room in a monochromatic grey-on-white scheme, which gave the original molding a more contemporary feel.
Decor Aid sourced a highly reflective silk-wool rug from ABC Home to brighten the space and took inspiration from the client’s existing art pieces, and added accent pillows, trays and decorative objects that matched the colors of these paintings.
Now this family has both a chic and multifunctional space to both entertain and relax.
