A Grownup Apartment for the Millennial LifestyleChicago, IL
Though living modestly is a rite of passage for any recent graduate, it doesn’t mean you can’t refresh your home or that you have to skimp when it comes to good design. Our client had just moved into the city and wanted inexpensive apartment décor that felt mature and thoughtful. With the help of our Junior Interior Designer, his rental apartment was transformed into a bright, youthful space.
Since he was just entering the workforce, our client wanted quality interior design on a budget. The light-filled one-bedroom was a blank slate, so our interior designer guided him in selecting modern, streamlined furniture, lighting and accessories that reflected his personal style as a young bachelor. They splurged on the blue velvet sofa from ABC Home to give a pop of color to the living room interior. The client wanted a space suited for entertaining his friends for drinks and game nights, so our designer opted for a counter-height bar instead of a table for the small dining room design. Brown leather, warm wood tones, and sleek chrome add dimension to the living room and master bedroom designs, which were both painted white for a clean, contemporary feel. With the help of our interior design company, our client graduated his interior design style without breaking the bank.
